VALENTINA COLCELLI

VALENTINA COLCELLIValentina Colcelli is Research Post-DocFellow in Private Law.

She was born in 1973 in Umbertide (PG), Italy. After high school she attended the Faculty of Law of the University of Perugia where he graduated in 1998 with a diploma Thesis in Family Law entitled " The evolving notion of the situation of abandon in the Italian jurisprudence". Afterwards, she attended her PhD studies at the University of Perugia, carrying out researches on the nature of the “situazioni giuridiche soggettive” (rights, interests and duties) in the EU Court of Justice and ECtHR Cases law and the methodological order adopted for their selection. In February 2009 she attained her PhD degree discussing a thesis titled “Meaning, characteristics and selection of interests in EU Court of Justice and ECtHR Cases law". She is member of Doctorate Council of European and International Doctorate in "Knowledge-Based Society and the Legal Discipline of the Common Market: Interdisciplinary Aspects of the European and international Integration", University of Perugia. Since 2001 she is Lawyer.

She is a member of several projects funded by the EU.

Her main research interests focus on the interaction of domestic and European law in shaping rights, interest and markets regulation. In this field she recently published in various journals, including international high-ranking ones, such as Energy Policy and the European Review of Private Law. On the topics she cooperates in research project in EU (University of Brighton) and outside EU (Polytechnic of Monterrey, Mexico City; University of San Salvador, El Salvador).
