CRISTIANO PERUGINI

CRISTIANO PERUGINICristiano Perugini (born 16.08.1972) is currently employed at the Department of Economics, Finance and Statistics, University of Perugia, where he carries out research and teaching activities. He has recently (December 21, 2010) attained the habilitation for Associate Professor (Economics).

After having attended the Faculty of Economics of the University of Perugia, in 2002 he obtained a PhD at the University of Naples Federico II and at the University of Siena, defending the thesis titled “Assessment at microeconomic level of public support to the agricultural sector". During his Phd studies he also attained a Msc diploma in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He has been working as Post-Doc Fellow at the Department of Economics, Finance and Statistics, University of Perugia, from 2002 to 2006.

His main current research areas include regional development disparities patterns and determinants, transition dynamics and effects on inequaliy and labour markets, local development, regional labour markets, income distribution dynamics at country and regional level.

Since 2002 he has been teaching Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, Environmental Economics, Emerging Markets.
